Am I *good enough* to homeschool my child with ASD/ADD?

For many reasons, we, as parents, doubt our ability when it comes to our child with special needs. Sometimes I hear "I homeschool my typical child but my other child who has Autism, etc I send to school" Maybe it is because the *professionals* tell us that our kids need them instead of us ....or maybe it is just so out of our realm that we feel absolutely incompetent compared to therapists!?

I have 4 children, 2 with ASD. I spent many years with many therapists coming in and out of my home....and the result was my 2 children knew alot of skills but mindfulness was still a struggle, and more importantly, I felt like I did not know my own children. This is when I found RDI.

RDI stands for Relationship Development Intervention. It is parent based and strongly recommends that you homeschool your child if at all possible. The program has a full curriculum for your child's *developmental stages*. This program changed my life, and of course, my childrens lives forever. The blessing of RDI is that it is a step by step program to help remediate a child's developmental obstacles. It helped my family regain competence in dealing with all my children, ASD/ADD and typical.

If you are searching for a way to help your child with Autism or ADD, consider the many benefits of Relationship development intervention!! Please feel free to contact me at k.darrow@verizon.net
